Tips for Re-Rounding in the SharpeSoft Estimator

The Rounding Sheet in the SharpeSoft Estimator is one of the final steps in the process of completing your final bid proposal, where users can round off the bid unit prices of all top-level bid items.
The system also offers functions which automatically round each item based on the rounding rules previously set up in the Defaults menu.
There is also an option to Auto-Balance, which is influenced by the “Round Recap off by" value displayed in the bottom right corner. This field displays the difference (in dollars) between the Bid Total column and the Rounded Total column. This difference is due to the rounding process. When the system rounds amounts up or down to the nearest dollar, there will be a difference in the two totals. When you click on the Auto Balance button, the system takes the amount shown in the "off by" field and proportionally spreads it between all unlocked items in the rounding sheet.
While these tools are exceptionally useful, it is important to keep in mind that any further changes made to the Bid Items window must be accounted for inside the Rounding Sheet, even after using either of the above tools, or rounding your bid off yourself. Doing so otherwise may result in a discrepancy between the total as presented in the Bid Items window, and what appears on a proposal generated from this position.
