Default Proposal and Conditions Text
The Default Proposal and Conditions Text window is used to enter your Default Conditions and Proposal text for the active company. It is comprised of three tabs, including Conditions, Proposal Header and Proposal Footer. In your proposal, the header text appears before the items and is often used as an introduction. The footer text appears after the items and will usually contain payment terms or contact information. Your conditions (or exclusions) will appear as an attachment at the end of the proposal.
The information in these windows does not include your company information (name, address, phone number, logo, etc.). In your proposal, these details are pulled from the Setup menu > Companies and Offices window.
When you create a new job, the default company proposal conditions, header, and footer text entered in this window will automatically be loaded into the new job. After the text is loaded into a job, you can change it in the Job menu > Job Information & Settings > Job Conditions and Proposal Text window to fit the specific needs of the job.
Changes made to the Default Proposal and Conditions Text will not be accurately reflected until a new job is created. Therefore, it is a good idea to edit this default window rarely, if possible. Most changes made to the conditions page or the header and hooter will occur on a job-by-job basis.
How to:

Select Defaults from the main menu bar.
From the dropdown menu, select Company Configuration.
Another menu will open. Select Defaults Conditions and Proposal Text.
Job Proposal and Conditions Text
In the Job Proposal and Conditions Text window you will enter the specific job conditions, header, and the footer text that will accompany the proposal for the job you are working on.
When you create a new job, the system automatically loads the company default proposal conditions, header, and footer text. You can use these pre-loaded defaults, or you can use this window to change them to fit the specific needs of the job you are working on.
You can save what you enter to an external file in the rich text format by clicking Save to file in the window's toolbar. This can be helpful if you would like to save different variations of the text, such as conditions for different kinds of work. To load a saved file, click Open and locate the file. Any rich text files that you save can also be opened in third party rich text editors if needed.
How to:

Select Job from the main menu bar.
From the dropdown menu, select Job Information & Settings.
Another menu will open. Select Conditions and Proposal Text.
Resetting Conditions and Proposal Text

Individual Job Proposal text can also be reverted back to what is entered in the defaults window by clicking on the Actions menu while the Job Conditions and Proposal Text window is open.
