Fuel Cost/Usage in SharpeSoft Estimator

Fuel is an important part of any construction project, as it is literally the material on which all pieces of equipment run. Having quality people to head labor projects and locating the correct piece of equipment for a job is all well and good, but nothing is happening without fuel.


Within the SharpeSoft Estimator are two easy ways to quickly determine the total cost and usage for all fuel inside a given job, even between different fuel grades!




Equipment Details/Markups

  • Click the Summary sheet button on the toolbar.

  • In the Summary sheet, select Equipment Details/Markups.

  • Here you can determine specific equipment markups, as well as tracking owned and rented equipment.

  • Select the Job Equipment report

  • In the Job Equipment Report Options, you can make selections that fit your need. If not, hit OK.


Below is the final page of the Job Equipment Report. All equipment items will have columns displaying the quantity of fuel used, the hours-per-day, as well as the unit cost. A Grand Totals panel is also included, adding up the sum of all fuel costs and gallons.

  • In the Select Report window, select Equipment Costs.

  • In the Job Equipment Report Options, you can make selections that fit your need. If not, hit OK.
