Members of the SharpeSoft team attended the 17th annual Yuba/Sutter Veterans Day Parade on Monday in downtown Marsyville, joining thousands of others who came out to show their support for Veterans and active members of the Armed Services.
The parade is one of the largest of its kind in Northern California, with 150 entries from across Sutter and Yuba counties and beyond. This year’s parade is especially meaningful because this Veterans Day is the 100th anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended the First World War.
We’re smackdab in the middle of farm country, so it was no surprise to see colorful vet-owned antique tractors trundling along with the armor. How many other Veterans Day parades can make that boast!
Members of the Blackbird Maintainers from our own Beale Airforce Base show their colors.
And, of course, what kind of parade would it be without a marching band. The Yuba City High School band set the pace with their rendition of Stars and Stripes Forever.
Overall, it was a great morning out, and our crew was inspired to see so many of our friends and neighbors showing their support for the Veterans in our own community and for those across the nation. We're looking forward to doing this again next year!
